Speech Therapy

Speech Therapy is a treatment that focuses on improving a child’s ability to understand and express language clearly and functionally.  A licensed speech pathologist will evaluate your child’s communication skills and determine whether they would benefit from intervention. Treatment may include playing, talking, books, objects, pictures, exercises etc. to target specific goals. Carry over activities may be sent home to ensure your child progresses in all environments. Our therapists will provide the appropriate approach to increase communications skills in any of the following areas:

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy treatment focuses on helping children achieve independence in all areas by of their lives. OT can help children with various needs improve their cognitive, physical and motor skills. A licensed Occupational Therapist will evaluate your child’s development and motor skills and determine if they would benefit from intervention. Therapy activities are designed to develop:

Physical Therapy

Physical Therapy focuses on helping children with conditions related to genetic, neurological and orthopedic disorders gain/regain strength and range of motion. They help children learn to successfully and independently perform gross motor skills and functional mobility skills. A licensed Physical Therapist will evaluation your child’s gross motor skills and motor development and determine if they would benefit from intervention. Treatment can work on the following:

ABA Therapy
(Applied Behavior Analysis)

ABA is the application of scientifically derived principles of behavior. ABA has been shown to be an effective intervention for children with Autism and other developmental delays. ABA is used to increase skills in language/communication, play and socialization while decreasing or eliminating behaviors that interfere with the child’s learning. A licensed Behavior Analyst will evaluate your child’s needs and determine if they would benefit from intervention.

Comprehensive ABA programs may range from 25-40 hours of intervention weekly 1:1 therapist direct services including weekly behavior analyst supervision and parent training. ABA Therapy can help children by:

Tutoring

One of our knowledgeable tutors will facilitate learning for individuals or small groups and assist them in learning the concepts reviewed in the individual classes/grade or subjects that they need help with. Tutoring aims to supplement what is done in the classroom.
