A: First give us a call and/or fill out our registration form online. We will need to get some information on your child and insurance benefits to set up an initial evaluation appointment which will determine where your child falls within his age group and whether or not your child would benefit from therapy.
A: Yes. As long as the evaluation was completed within 6 months it should be valid. However, if a therapist feels that further testing is needed you will be notified.
A: Once the therapist writes up the evaluation report and determines if your child needs therapy we send the report to be signed and approved by your child’s pediatrician. Once we receive it back signed we submit to your insurance for authorization. Once we receive authorization we can then schedule your child for treatment. If you are doing therapy privately we can schedule treatment immediately after the evaluation.
A: Reevaluations are done every 6 months to one year depending on insurance. If a child masters all his set goals before then he/she will be discharged. If the reevaluation determines your child continues to need therapy they will recommend treatment accordingly. Therapy progress is contingent upon attendance, carry over activities at home and client motivation/ability to learn.
A: A screening is generally done to determine if your child exhibits any redflags for delays and if they would benefit from a full evaluation. In most cases a full evaluation is still recommended in order to fully assess and determine the child’s needs and in order for insurance company to authorize treatment.
A: Yes. We are in network with many insurance providers and in most cases do bill them for services. There are some insurance companies we are not in network and will provide you with an invoice for you to submit your own claims for reimbursement. This also applies for some insurance companies we are in network with as well. Please inquire with front desk. If your insurance does not pay for services you will be responsible for any unpaid and/or denied claims.
